With many students struggling and an office full of art that she needed to empty, Dr Elaine Webster had a great idea on how to raise funds for Pūtea Tautoko, the student hardship fund, while leaving a wee piece of herself on campus.

Supporting Otago
Our alumni find a wide variety of ways to show their support. The Priscilla Sandys Wunch Trust has spent 20 years helping Taranaki students attend Otago, while businessman Mark Brosnan provided surplus surgical masks to help minimise the risk from COVID-19.

Why We ♥ Otago
A desire to give back, and help those pursuing a career in medicine, has spurred a group of senior medical graduates to provide a scholarship for the last 15 years, supporting second and third year undergraduate medical students suffering financial hardship.
