Please join us for an uplifting and timely conversation with Otago Alumna,Kereyn Smith, Secretary General of the NZ Olympic Committee, and Olympic Champion (and one of Dunedin’s favourite sons) - Hamish Bond.

Kereyn and Hamish will discuss the NZ Team’s experiences and challenges of last month’s Olympics, and reflect on how the changed world (of Covid-19) impacted preparations and performances for athletes and officials. What contributed to making Tokyo 2020 such a successful and inspiring event for New Zealand’s team of 222 athletes - the largest team yet to attend the Olympic Games?

Hear how New Zealand punched above its weight, and earned our greatest ever Olympic result of 20 medals – seven Gold, six Silver and seven Bronze, placing 13th overall on the medal table.
